Establishment of The Academy for the Study of Science, Technology, and Language Learning
The Academy for the Study of Science, Technology, and Language Learning is one of the main units of Suranaree University of Technology and has a status equivalent to an academic program unit. It is operated under the Office of the President under the supervision of the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and Internationalization. It was established on November 24th, 2014 and divided into 2 units including (1) Research on Learning Unit and (2) Surawiwat School.
Establishment of the Academy for the Study of Science, Technology, and Language Learning mainly aims to study, perform experiments, do research, and develop the learning and teaching pedagogy in science, mathematics, technology and language in order to improve the effectiveness of the learning and teaching approaches. Surawiwat School functions as a University Laboratory School and it cultivates students with quality and potential to get into institution of higher education.
It supports the enhancement of educational opportunities in science, mathematics, technology and language more widely, with high quality standard to increase student competitiveness. In addition, it helps to bridge educational gaps between basic education and higher education, resulting in upgrading the quality of graduates in Thailand to reach international standards. It is thereby a learning management model for other schools in the region and continues to expand the quality and efficiency of learning management both domestically and internationally.
