นอกจากกิจกรรมนี้แล้ว ทางสาขาฟิสิกส์ ยังมีรายวิชา “Introduction to Physics World ” ในหลักสูตรเพื่อช่วยให้นักศึกษาได้รู้จักเห็นแนวทางการประกอบอาชีพ และสาขาแขนงต่างๆ ในวิชาฟิสิกส์อีกด้วย

AAPPS-DACG Workshop on Astrophysics, Cosmology and Gravitation

- Circulation of the program among participants: Oct. 30 (Fri)

- No registration fee (APCTP supports the workshop)

The Division of Astrophysics, Cosmology, and Gravitation (DACG) is a division of the AAPPS (Association of Asia Pacific Physics Societies), which together with APS and EPS is leading the physics community in the world. The DACG was established in 2015 to promote the advancement and dissemination of knowledge, applications of astrophysics, cosmology and gravitation, and to coordinate activities in the Asia Pacific region. The DACG has organized the divisional meetings at the Asia Pacific Physics Conference (APPC) and sponsored the CosPA Symposia, the AP School/Workshop on Gravitation and Cosmology, and the International Conference on Gravitation, Astrophysics and Cosmology. Representatives from Australia, China, Japan, Korea, New Zealand, and Taiwan are currently members of the DACG.

The Executive Committee of DACG has decided to organize a DACG Workshop on astrophysics, cosmology and gravitation, given that the global pandemic of coronavirus has forced the postponement of CosPA 2020(a meeting sponsored by DACG) to postpone it to November 2021. Many researchers in this region have been somehow isolated from their universities or institutions, and the IOC of the DACG Workshop expects this event to encourage those researchers in the AP region to promote and disseminate their recent work, and to exchange ideas and communicate with each other. Particularly, the IOC and LOC wish to invite graduate students and postdoctoral researchers to attend, to promote their recent work and discuss the current issues.
