ผู้มีคุณธรรมผู้อยู่ท่ามกลางกระแสโลก หมวดวิชาศึกษาทั่วไปให้ความสำคัญกับนักศึกษาทั้งเรื่องของ “จิตใจ” และ “จิตปัญญา”
เพื่อให้นักศึกษาสามารถแสดงศักยภาพที่ดีที่สุดของตนในการสนองตอบความต้องการของผู้มีส่วนได้ส่วนเสีย ผู้ใช้
บัณฑิตมีความพึงพอใจทั้งด้านความรู้ทางวิชาการและทักษะด้านมนุษยสัมพันธ์ และผู้เรียนมีความภาคภูมิใจในวุฒิภาวะ
ของตน โดยยึดแนวทางการพัฒนานักศึกษาที่มีความสอดคล้องกับวิสัยทัศน์ของการพัฒนาประเทศบนฐานนวัตกรรม
General Education Program at Suranaree University of Technology aims to build virtuous
individuals amidst global trends. To strengthen the students’ resilience, the program puts two
emphases on their ‘hearts’ and ‘minds,’ as to bring out their best potentials while respond to all
stakeholders’ needs. The industrial sector shall be satisfied with the students’ both academic
knowledge and interpersonal skills. The students shall be proud of their personal growth, which aligns
with the nation’s vision towards innovation-based development.
The ‘hearts’, in this case, is defined as active and awaken citizens through a spirit of
friendship within Thai, ASEAN and global communities. As such, they are peace-desiring individuals
with a respect for other human beings whose socio-cultural backgrounds vary and preserve the shared
values of equality and equity. Their voluntary hearts extend beyond a four-wall classroom and are
prepared to learn from real situations and hands-on experiences, which eventually empower
themselves and others.
- “จิตใจ” คือ การเป็นพลเมืองที่ตื่นรู้ มีจิตเป็นกัลยาณมิตรต่อชุมชน ทั้งชุมชนชาวไทย อาเซียน และชุมชนโลก
ปรารถนาสันติภาพด้วยจิตใจที่ความเคารพต่อเพื่อนมนุษย์ซึ่งล้วนมาจากภูมิหลังทางสังคมและวัฒนธรรมที่แตกต่างกัน
ยึดหลักความเสมอภาคและความยุติธรรมอันถือเป็นคุณค่าสำคัญของการอยู่ร่วมกันในสังคม มีจิตอาสา และพร้อมเรียนรู้
ในสถานการณ์จริง ลงมือปฏิบัติเพื่อนำประสบการณ์ที่ได้รับมาเสริมสร้างเป็นพลังให้กับตนเองและผู้อื่น

- “จิตปัญญา” คือ การเป็นนักคิดที่ใฝ่รู้และมีอิสระ ทว่าไม่ปฏิเสธความรับผิดชอบที่มีต่อสังคม มีความสามารถ
ในการสื่อสารที่มีประสิทธิภาพและตั้งอยู่บนการเสริมรากฐานของความมีเหตุผล เรียนรู้และตามทันเทคโนโลยีดิจิทัล
เพื่อสามารถนำมาใช้ให้เกิดประโยชน์ต่อตนเอง ใช้อย่างสร้างสรรค์และเป็นธรรมต่อผู้อื่น และเพื่อให้ทันต่อการเปลี่ยนผ่าน
ประเทศสู่เศรษฐกิจที่ขับเคลื่อนด้วยนวัตกรรม หลักสูตรหมวดวิชาศึกษาทั่วไปยังเสริมสร้างให้ผู้เรียนมีความเชื่อมั่นในตนเอง
มีฐานคิดของความเป็นผู้ประกอบการที่สามารถใช้ปัญญาของตนมองวิกฤติให้เป็นโอกาส มีจิตปัญญาที่พร้อมอุทิศ
ตนเพื่อปกป้องชนรุ่นถัดไปจากวิกฤติการณ์สิ่งแวดล้อม ให้ความสำคัญต่อสุขภาวะของตนและของคนอื่น
The ‘minds’ is defined as inquisitive and independent thinkers but not at a cost of a
community responsibility. A wisdom of effective communications on a foundation of rationality is
enhanced. Thus, digital literacy is equipped for their own advantages in creatively solving the
vulnerable’s disadvantages for social justice and as to comply with an innovation economy. The
program aims for the students to be confident and helps them to recognize a possibility to change
negativity into opportunity with their entrepreneurial mindset. Their minds also devote to save
succeeding generations from environmental issues that are crucial for a long-term health of every
member of a society.
- “จิตใจ” และ “จิตปัญญา” ของนักศึกษาจะเป็นภูมิคุ้มกันตนเองจากการเปลี่ยนแปลงและจาก
สถานการณ์ที่คาดไม่ถึง และทำให้นักศึกษาเติบโตขึ้นเป็นคนไทยที่เป็นมนุษย์ที่สมบูรณ์ มองความบกพร่องและความ
ผิดพลาดเฉกเช่นความงดงามเป็นศิลปะ และเป็นบทเรียนแห่งชีวิต
With these characteristics of their ‘hearts’ and ‘minds’, they are immune from changes
and unexpected circumstances. Yet, they are authentic human beings who shall appreciate
imperfections and mistakes as beauty, arts and life lessons.
